In the wake of the 2021 fires, my wife and I walked into the Jerusalem hills to witness the aftermath for ourselves. What we found was a landscape stripped of its color, yet standing there amidst the ash, we felt an overwhelming sense of hope. This photograph captures that exact feeling—the moment astonishment turned into a belief in renewal. A personal tribute to the resilience of our hills and the life that refuses to be extinguished.
