Early Morning Prayer by the Sea of Galilee
I captured this powerful moment just before sunrise on a quiet beach in Tiberias, overlooking the Sea of Galilee—one of Israel’s most iconic and spiritual landscapes. A religious Jewish man sat in peaceful meditation, preparing for Shacharit, the traditional Jewish morning prayer. As the sun rose, the sky lit up with dramatic colors, reflecting on the water and creating a breathtaking scene of spiritual serenity in Israel.

We spoke briefly—he was from the holy city of Safed (Tzfat) in the Galilee region, and to my surprise, he knew my family. The encounter, light, and silence came together in a truly sacred moment that I feel honored to have photographed.
